Come on Down
I know it is fun searching the web and everything but at some point you gotta get out
of your PJs and see this stuff in person.
You'll be amazed at the advances in face to face conversations. We have upgraded our
conversation and information software so you can receive almost instant answers to your
bicycle questions.
We also live bikes. This is our profession. While every website you visit will tell you
that "this" or "that" is best, we have probably tried it and are happy to give you the inside scoop.
One last thing. As I chatted with a friend from larger shop elsewhere in the world, it reminded me
of a big advantage we have. The people here sell and do repairs. You won't get Joe Salesguy, who couldn't do more than
regurgitate the garbage he/she read in a magazine or "heard" from a guy.
You want an honest opinion about what works?
Ask a mechanic - especially later in the day - after he's tried to get a couple crappy parts to work properly. Virtually every day of the week we work on a bike or
component that is truely a pain in the ass. Once we have worked on the PITA bike, we can no longer
censor our thoughts and are happy to unpersuade people from buying that same crap - or yesterdays - or last months
PITA parts. Honesty - we didn't invent it - it doesn't work to pick up girls - but we spew it daily regarding the perks and jerks in the bike world.
