Cox Hill

The King of Kananaskis Country Rides

If you are going to ride the road the best course of action is to do it first. Park at the Dawson park area, gear up and head out. After about 10 km on the road you usually see a bunch of parked cars. This is a sign you are at the trailhead which is on the left hand side of the road.

Once you are there the climb starts. Usually this part of the trail is in great shape. Nice, clean switch backs...that keep going and going. Get in a good rhythm and start grinding. It's a good hour to the top. Not much chance for vistas on the way up but don't worry - when you summit you will be rewarded handsomely.

After about an hour you should come to the top of the trail. It is marked with a sign plus you are now above tree line in the alpine. You are at the top...almost.

Who wants a bike shop job?

Are bicycles your passion? Do you watch pennies except when buying bike stuff? Maybe you're looking to "supplement" your income or your access to bike parts. I am looking for somebody(s) who would be fun to work with, loves bikes, knows bikes and wants to work at a bicycle shop. I'm looking for 3 key factors - honesty, personality, knowledge. I am very flexible for the right person. Oh yeah - you should probably live in or near Cochrane. Email me.
