Elbow Loop cont.

A Kananaskis Classic...in Either Direction

Anyways this ride is awesome and is well worth doing at least once a year. Biggest debate on Elbow Loop is to do it clockwise or counter clockwise. One time when we were riding it counter clock wise another rider told us we were crazy as he thought there was way more downhill the other way. Given that you start and finish at the same place I wasn't sure on how much weight to give that opinion.

Yes, it really is this beautiful.

Clockwise has the advantage of finishing with a ripper of a downhill on access roads that just keep going and going. Counter clockwise has the advantage of screaming down a steeper rougher more single-tracky downhill that comes in the middle of the ride. Both ways the scenery is stunning. And both ways have unique and very tasty treats along the way.

Top of the ride on a fall day.
